In this workshop, we will explore dynamic movement on the rope and different movement qualities, as tools for aerial composition.

The workshop begins with a dynamic floor-based warm-up that develops coordination, stamina, and body awareness. In the first part of the workshop, we will dive into dynamic technique and dynamic movement on the rope. We will focus on specific positions and tricks and explore their variations.

In the second part of the workshop, we will research different movement qualities, working both on the floor and in the air. These qualities serve as tools for aerial composition, helping to expand our creativity and expressive possibilities.

Normal price:CHF 100.

Workshop-leadership

Caro Wuttke

Caro Wuttke is a contemporary circus performer. She studied at the Cirko Vertigo and Flic Scuola di Circo schools, where she specialized in the vertical rope. She was then part of Cata Aguayo’s two-year ‘Labo de Investigación Aérea y Escénica’ in Barcelona.

In her artistic work, Caro’s focus is on movement research and improvisation. Both on and off stage, she explores how to create intimate and care-full spaces within the circus community and in her own practice.

Since 2023, Caro has been part of the rope collective Less Kuerdas and the circus company Bruta Bruja. She also works as an interpreter in various projects, including the Marina Abramovi? retrospective at Kunsthaus Zürich and ‘Of My Life’ by Ser Serpas at Kunsthalle Basel. Caro is also increasingly active as an outside eye and trainer and gives workshops.
