Training, exchange and rehearsals
The Zirkusquartier offers various training opportunities for professional circus artists: Come along to one of the open training sessions, register for professional training or rent the infrastructure according to your needs.
Professional training
As a circus performer, you have the opportunity to train and use the infrastructure at Zirkusquartier on a regular basis. To do this, you need to register once by email for professional training and receive an introduction to the premises and the house rules. After that, you can train independently at Zirkusquartier at the given pro training times and at a reasonable rate.
Regular professional training times:
- Mon: 12:00 – 15:30 / Training hall
- Tue: 12:00 – 15:00 / Training hall
- Wed: 12:00 – 15:00 / mirror room
- Thu: 12:00 – 15:00 / Training hall
- Fri: 12:00 – 15:30 / mirror room
Different times during the summer vacation:
- July 14 – 16: only 10.00 – 13.15 / Training hall
- 17. – July 18: no professional training!
- July 21 – 25: 12.00 – 15.15 / mirror room
- July 28 – 31: 12.00 – 15.15 / Event hall
- August 1: no professional training!
- Aug. 4 – 8: 12.00 – 15.15 / mirror room
- 11. & Aug 12: 12.00 – 15.15 /mirror room
- Aug. 13 – 15: no professional training!
The professional training also takes place during school vacations and on official holidays – if the training times change exceptionally, we will inform you here or in the professional chat. During our company vacations over Christmas and New Year there will be no professional training. Company vacations are from: 21.12.2024 – 5.1.2025.
Costs
Per training session: CHF 5.00
10-session subscription (valid for 4 months): CHF 40.00
Payment in cash or TWINT
Register by email for a one-time introduction before your first training session.
Open training
Our open training takes place every Monday and Thursday: For amateurs and professionals aged 18 and over.
The focus is on exchanging ideas and enjoying training together. Whether you are a local artist or just passing through: come by!
- Monday: 18.30 – 22.00 hrs
- Thursday: 20.00 – 22.00 hrs
Open training is suspended during school vacations and official holidays.
Without registration / costs: CHF 5.00
Room rental
Rehearsing, trying out, performing
The Zirkusquartier would like to make its infrastructure available to as many circus professionals as possible.
There are four different indoor spaces and an outdoor space that can be used. The bar is operated by Zirkusquartier during shows, festivals and events.
