Training, exchange and rehearsals
The Zirkusquartier offers various regular training opportunities.
Open training takes place twice a week, where professionals and amateurs train together.
For professional circus artists, daily professional training sessions are held Monday through Friday. The facilities can be rented for rehearsals at affordable rates—tailored to your needs.
Professional training
As a circus professional, you have the opportunity to train regularly and use the facilities at Zirkusquartier. To do so, you need to register once by email for professional training and will receive an introduction to the facilities and house rules. After that, you can train independently at Zirkusquartier during the designated professional training times at an affordable rate.
Register by email for a one-time introduction before your first training session.

Pro training sessions also take place during school breaks and on official holidays—if, in rare cases, the training times change, we’ll let you know here, in the Profi-Newsletter, or in the Profi-Chat. There will be no professional training during our company holidays over Christmas and New Year’s: December 19, 2026 – January 3, 2027

Open training
Our open training sessions take place every Monday and Thursday: for beginners and professionals ages 18 and older. The focus is on sharing ideas and enjoying training together.

- Cost: 5.00 CHF (payment in cash or via TWINT)
- Open training is suspended during school vacations and official holidays.
Room rental
Rehearsals, try-outs, performances: Zirkusquartier aims to make its facilities available to as many circus professionals as possible. There are four different indoor spaces as well as an outdoor area that can be used. The bar is operated by Zirkusquartier during shows, festivals, and events.
