At the Nuit du Cirque 2025, Zirkusquartier is hosting a panel discussion on the topic of cultural funding in the field of contemporary circus. This workshop is a collaboration with the production platform artFAQ.

Invited guests from major foundations such as Pro Helvetia will provide input on their funding practices, particularly in the circus sector, and give a glimpse behind the scenes of their work. What changes have become apparent in funding practices in recent years? How are circus projects perceived by foundations? How many projects are funded and how many are rejected?

After the inputs, small groups will discuss important aspects and difficulties in the promotion of circus projects in greater depth and offer a space for burning questions.

After the event, at 17:00, there will be the opportunity to attend a performance of Die Rettung der Blasmusik by bum bum pieces & vanderbolten.production.
