Air is all or nothing. It is our source of life – invisible, often unnoticed and yet essential. One breath is all it takes to enter life. But what happens when air is missing? When we have to find ways to produce it in order to survive?
Zirkus Chnopf approaches these questions with images, music, encounters, artistry and dance. In search of freedom and community, we explore the poetic space between the ground and the air, swinging.
For UFE , we have explored the environment, crises and the longing for lightness and take you on a journey through resistance and poetic moments. The show take place in all weathers – the square is covered. No advance booking, hat collection at the end of the show.
“UFE ” is a co-production of Zirkusquartier Zurich and will celebrate its premiere on May 22, followed by a concert by Fräulein Luise

Zirkus Chnopf
Zirkus Chnopf is a recognized non-profit association with the aim of promoting young talent in the field of artistry and physical theater. To this end, it goes on tour every year with the open-air spectacle of the same name and works closely with the Zirkusquartier Zurich production and performance venue, where the touring company has its “home”.
Zirkus Chnopf combines worlds. Theater, dance, artistry and music come together. Young and experienced people from different backgrounds work together. The annual productions captivate with their humor and innovative technical and artistic execution.
