Two people, a triangle, and the search for happiness: between striking poses and partying, between the thrill of applause and the silence that follows. A large metal triangle becomes the stage, a co-performer, and a metaphor: it tilts, spins, supports, and throws off—letting things fall and fly. With great enthusiasm, a physical essay emerges about the human need to constantly reenact happiness.

Heavy Weight Pieces
Heavy Weight Pieces was founded in 2023 as a result of Prisca Grandi and Nik Huber’s graduation project at the Zurich University of the Arts, which resulted in the production “KIPPEN.” Today, they are a collective of five artists with backgrounds in the circus. They work as performers, acrobats, dancers, set designers, and directors.
The circus continues to shape their working style to this day, even though they have all gone on to pursue professional careers in other fields. The beautiful, playful circus vibe blends with art and modern theater. In addition to our artistic craft, what remains from our circus experiences is a sense of and understanding for community—something that is hard to find anywhere else but in the circus, where we rehearse, travel, perform, and live together,
