Info meeting: Clowns Without Borders Switzerland

“Before you came the children were playing war; now they play clown.”

Creating joy, spreading laughter and offering the performing arts as a form of emotional humanitarian aid is an important and effective way of building a better world. The volunteer artists of Clowns Without Borders meet people, especially children, who find themselves in crisis, conflict or natural disaster areas around the world.

Through the use of theater, circus and music, we want to give moments of joy and peace and thus counteract the suffering that is spreading in crisis areas. Through our actions, we want to contribute to the creation of new social bonds, give space to the healthy development of childhood and growth and stimulate a positive community dynamic.

Clowns Without Borders Switzerland

Clowns Without Borders Switzerland visits people in need, especially children, living in crisis, conflict or disaster areas around the world, offering joy and laughter as a form of emotional humanitarian aid. Our volunteer artists visit these places and their people, reaching people of all cultures, social backgrounds and ages, with a particular focus on the children affected. We also work with Swiss refugee centers to offer workshops, games and performances for refugee children and adults as part of integration events.
