Vertical rope workshop

We start with an intensive warm-up on the floor, which trains flexibility, coordination and body awareness. We then combine flowing movements on the floor with creative sequences on the rope to explore the dynamics between air and floor. We learn to use the rope as a flexible tool for expression and flowing transitions.

The workshop offers an inspiring mix of technique, creativity and physical challenge – for anyone who wants to get to know or improve their skills on the vertical rope.

Lorena Menade

Lorena Di Bello, a 25-year-old aerialist from Potenza, Italy, has mastered various aerial techniques, with a focus on the rope. In 2017, Lorena embarked on a path that led her to the Vertigo preparatory circus school in Turin. Here she honed her skills and specialized in the art of the vertical rope.

After completing her studies, she moved to Brussels, Belgium, in 2019. In Brussels, Lorena passed on her knowledge by teaching vertical rope and trapeze at various circus schools. She continues her personal development through intensive training in circus, dance and theater. In 2020 she joined the ESAC Circus University.

General information

• Registration by link, e-mail or telephone is binding.
• The course fee must be paid by invoice, which you will receive from us by e-mail.
• If registration is withdrawn up to 10 days before the workshop, 50% of the course fee will be charged. In the event of later withdrawal, the full costs are to be borne by the participant.
• The right to participate in the booked workshop is personal and non-transferable. Lessons not attended do not entitle the participant to a reduction in course fees, unless the workshop is explicitly advertised as modular.
• Insurance is the responsibility of the participants. An emergency contact must be given when registering.
• If there are not enough participants, the workshop cannot usually take place. The registered participants will be informed by e-mail about a possible cancellation.
• Participants must adhere to the house rules of the Zirkusquartier. The instructions of the staff must be followed.
