Reopen the eyes of your flesh. See the person next to you. Feel the air as it moves between us.
Through three vertical ropes and live music, DRIFT explores the concept of collectivity. The performance is a shared experience and exploration of the stage as an intimate space between audience and performers. The space becomes dynamic and fluid with the entrance of the audience, which exits and participates in the unfolding events. The performance questions the space we occupy: When do we take and when do we give space? Where do we position ourselves within a group? What enables us to act with collective force?
DRIFT is a co-production of Zirkusquartier and will celebrate its premiere on October 18, 2025.

- DRIFT is an interactive, immersive performance in which the audience moves around the space to engage with the show.
- Due to the interactive nature of the experience, children under the age of 15 must always be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- This show involves close, interactive contact that may not be suitable for people who are sensitive to physical proximity or unexpected interactions.
Notes on accessibility
- Audience members with limited mobility may encounter difficulties as the show requires movement within the performance space, including sitting and lying down. Alternative seating outside the primary interactive area is available.
- The show is predominantly non-verbal and movement-based. No sign language interpretation or language translation is provided.

Less Kuerdas
Less Kuerdas is a contemporary circus and performance collective based in Switzerland. Less Kuerdas was founded in 2022. The four members met during their joint circus training, where a shared passion turned into a close friendship. The collective uses the vertical rope and live music as their common artistic language. On and off stage, the four performers explore what collectivity means and share this sense of community with the audience. Less Kuerdas see the stage, as well as the creative process, as a space of possibility for a more collective and care-full practice of creating, performing and living together.
