Four performers host a Gender Reveal Party and explore the question: is it a cornerstone of drag culture – or a controversial tradition that reinforces binary gender stereotypes?
Full of glamour, chaos, and camp, House of Hermess whisks the audience away into an extravagant and sometimes delightfully trashy world where circus, drag, and cabaret collide. They combine acrobatics, aerial artistry, lip-syncing, dance, and live singing into a dazzling stage spectacle.
The show invites you to question norms, shift perspectives, and experience gender as something fluid, playful, and diverse. A hybrid open-air drag-circus-kitsch cabaret—for young and old alike.

Circ-Exchange: Gender in Contemporary Circus
On the festival Sunday, a Circ-Exchange will take place on the topic of “Gender in Contemporary Circus.” The event will be led by Sonny Crowden and Thomas Botticelli from House of Hermess . Circ-Exchange is a networking event featuring workshops and discussions for professional circus artists and takes place three times a year.

Sonny Crowden and Thomas Botticelli met in 2020 at the CNAC—Centre National des Arts du Cirque . After collaborating closely on several projects, they founded House of Hermess in 2021: their drag house, with the goal of organizing more drag and circus events. La Gender Reveal Party is thus a continuation of their work and embodies their shared vision.
