Trapeze Workshop
In this workshop we will focus on the trapeze technique. We will learn tricks, alone and in pairs, create small sequences and play with them creatively in short improvisations. Whether it’s your first time in the air or you have previous experience, there are different levels to nibble on. Get to know your body in connection with the scope offered by the trapeze and explore the airy intermediate dimension thanks to gravity and lightness.
Please bring to the workshop:
- Training clothes
- long pants
- Long sleeve shirt
Valea Völcker
Valea Völcker is a freelance artist working in the fields of dance, theater and circus.
She studied physical theatre at the Accademia Teatro Dimitri in Ticino and then specialized in contemporary dance in Portugal.
From an early age, she got to know the various circus disciplines in the children’s and youth circus and eventually specialized in the trapeze.
She has already brought several of her own pieces to the stage and works with dance and theater companies in Switzerland and abroad.
She currently lives in Zurich and works as a circus teacher at various circus schools in addition to her performances.
Trapeze is an ideal way for her to teach fun, training and creativity, which is why she developed the workshop format that is now taking place for the first time at Zirkusquartier.
