Dark Glowing is both a concert and a trapeze performance. On stage: Silvan Strübel and Laurence Felber, featuring vocals, trapeze, electric guitar, electric bass, and drums.

Dark Glowing is like a boxing match that keeps repeating itself. Four rounds that tell of tears, grief, fear, and anger—of the darkness—but also of courage, trust, getting back up, the joy of playing, rays of hope, solidarity, and carrying on.

weat versus glamorous costumes, melodic refrains versus voices left breathless, a sense of unease versus euphoria. A dark pull and an acoustic celebration. A powerful, deeply moving piece.

Laurence Felber

Laurence Felber is a trained trapeze artist and graphic designer; she lives in Basel, creates stage work in various collaborations, and works as a freelance graphic designer. “Dark Glowing” is her second production. She wrote and created it together with Bern-based musician Silvan Strübel and Bern-based artist, director, and performer Caroline Schenk. The three have been collaborating on various projects since 2017. Bringing dark themes such as fear, anger, and grief to the stage and, through artistic interpretation, using them to open up new spaces, spark reflection, and create new experiences for the audience is a priority for the three artists, based on their own feelings and experiences.
