Work-in-Progress: Mermaids
Mermaids is a piece born from the desire to bring to the stage the expression of a feminine identity,
marked by sweetness, pink, old toys, and the transition from childhood to adulthood, where fragility
meets its relationship with beauty and the female body.
Everything unfolds through the fusion of aerial language and object theater, in a universe inspired
by visual artist David LaChapelle, characterized by contrasts between pastel colors, broken toys,
female bodies, and an oniric world where the body and circus language serve as the primary
expressive vehicle.
This takes the audience on a metaphor-filled journey, resembling a dream that
navigates between the lights and shadows of the passage from childhood to adulthood.
