What would a life optimized by artificial intelligence look like – a truly improved one?

In their new play UtopiA.I.sland, Robinson-Varieté creates a world in which people have their lives completely controlled by an A.I.. A life in perfect harmony: illnesses are overcome, conflicts are resolved, no one has to make any more effort or decisions. The A.I. guarantees happiness, order and efficiency, a life without risk, entirely according to plan.

But what happens to creativity, spontaneity and emotions? Are they flaws in the system or the key to breaking out of it? Robinson-Varieté combines artistry, dance, theater and music to create a poetic, humorous and at the same time critical look at the dream of a perfect society. Fifteen young female artists create a vision of the future that is both fascinating and unsettling: an island of perfection that is gradually cracking.

A piece of contemporary circus that puts freedom and progress to the test and perhaps allows us to rediscover a piece of humanity.

Varieté Robinson

The Robinson Varieté consists of 15 teenagers and young adults aged between 15 and 20. The variety show combines different circus disciplines and focuses on modern, contemporary and family-friendly productions.

For over ten years, it has been convincing audiences throughout Switzerland with sophisticated programs for a wide audience.
