Would you like to set up your own production and are faced with many production tasks?
At the production café, a consultant from artFAQ will be on hand to answer all your questions about dossiers, scheduling, fundraising and much more. Nik and Charlotte from Zirkusquartier will also be on hand to provide information about rehearsal and performance opportunities at Zirkusquartier. Come along with your project idea!
The Production Café takes place in collaboration with artFAQ, the production platform for dance, theater and performance in the Zurich region. artFAQ offers free consultations for companies and artists. You can find the entire offer here.
artFAQ began on a balmy summer evening in 2017 with five production managers on a roof terrace. The exchange revolved around calls from friends in the cultural sector with questions about contracts, payroll accounting, foundations and other production topics. A brainstorming session began: Where can cultural professionals find answers without having to ask for a friendly favor every time? How can the Frequently Asked Questions be answered and collected in the long term so that not everyone has to familiarize themselves with all the topics individually?
These questions gave rise to the idea for artFAQ. In October 2018, the project began with a two-year pilot phase, and around two years later, it was accepted as a sponsor for the 2021-2024 production platform put out to tender by the city of Zurich. artFAQ moved into its current location at Kulturmarkt Zürich in July 2021.
