Together we want to play, explore the fairytale world of the circus, let off steam and transform ourselves into animals, learn tricks and above all: have lots of fun!
You’ll need comfortable clothes that you can move around in and a water bottle. You should also have your mom and/or dad with you, as they will be taking part. They may simply accompany you during the lessons or lend a hand to the course leader if help is needed at a course post.
Clothing: Comfortable sportswear. Turntäppeli or barefoot. In the winter months, we recommend long training clothes for before and after the course. Children with long hair should have a hair tie with them.
Luisa Schmitz
Luisa Schmitz was born in Zurich and works as a dancer, choreographer, coach and dance teacher. She completed her bachelor’s degree in stage dance and choreography at the Fontys Hoogeschool voor de Kunsten in Tilburg (NL). She spent two years on the road as an artist with Zirkus Chnopf and has been teaching circus and movement to children and teenagers ever since. She teaches children the art of circus in an encouraging and motivating way. When she is not teaching, she tours Europe with her own clown duo or walks through the woods of Zurich with her dog.

Individual lessons cannot be booked. It is possible to join at any time during the session if capacity is available. The price will be adjusted accordingly.
Course information:
General
- The course takes place once a week (except during school vacations and public holidays)
- Course duration: 45 minutes
- Start: February 23 (from the end of the 2026 school sports vacations)
- End: July 6 (until the start of the 2026 school summer vacation), 16 lessons in total
Trial lessons
- Please book online.
- The first lesson from the date of booking is always a trial lesson and costs CHF 20.
- A final decision on the booking can then be made: The registration or deregistration for the entire course session must reach us by e-mail (kontakt@zirkusquartier.ch) three days after the trial lesson.
- If you book and confirm the appointment, the trial lesson will be charged even if you do not attend.
Access
- It is always possible to join the course during the current session if capacity is available.
- Simply book online, the first lesson is a trial lesson.
- You will only be charged from the definitive start date after the trial lesson.

- For children’s courses we also accept parents’ Legi and Kulturlegi.
- We offer a CHF 5 discount per lesson on the second course booked.
