Here, we open the door to the imaginative world of the circus—for children, teenagers, and adults alike. Whether as a family, as a pair, or on your own: here you can try new things, get moving, laugh, and step into creative roles.
In a relaxed atmosphere, we’ll playfully explore various circus elements outdoors. The instructors will guide you through the experience and are happy to offer a few tips along the way. You’re welcome to try out different elements, be amazed, and challenge yourselves—but above all: have fun. No prior experience required, and absolutely no pressure. Drop in and out at any time. Everyone participates at their own pace—whether you’re curious and reserved or bold and eager to get started.
The workshop is open to anyone who wants to experience the circus firsthand—with open eyes, an open heart, and a body eager to move. Young and old alike will get to know themselves better and build their self-confidence—an ideal foundation for all other movement arts!
The workshop lasts 90 minutes; you can drop in and out at any time.

Lara Schawalder

Lara Schawalder grew up in the Zurich Oberland. At the age of 20, she went to Paris for seven years, attended the ECM-ISAS musical school and trained at the Les Noctambules circus school, where she specialized in floor acrobatics and aerial silk. Since then, she has worked at home and abroad as an artist and is regularly teaching children, teenagers and adults.
Jeele Johannsen

Jeele Johannsen, born in 1997 and raised in Berlin, has sought to develop his skills equally in the fields of theater, dance, acrobatics, and music. Among other things, he created a dance-theater piece that was selected by the Tanztreffen der Jugend (2016), gave concerts as a singer-songwriter, toured as a performer with Zirkus Chnopf (Zurich) in 2017, and earned his BA in Physical Theater from the Accademia Teatro Dimitri in 2020. Together with Margot Prod’hom, he produced the full-length solo piece “Die Qual der Wahl” and, most recently, the production “ERWACHEN” at the Theater der Künste in Zurich.
