This workshop provides an introduction to collective partner acrobatics. The focus is on confidence, self-assurance and the joy of playing.
Participants have the opportunity to get to know the internationally recognized collective acrobatics method of Collective XY from France. It includes targeted warm-up exercises, muscle strengthening, acrobatic exercises, pyramids and cool-down.
In the acrobatic part, we will learn holds and various climbing techniques on one or more bodies, human ladders, flying group throws and manipulations. Gradually we will focus on balance, flow of movement, weight strength and flexibility through touch and a combination of simple and safe acrobatic movements.
The workshop is open to anyone who already has experience in acrobatics or dance and would like to incorporate acrobatic elements into their art.
You will need a change of comfortable clothes, a jacket and a pair of comfortable shorts.

Workshop leader
Kritonas Anastasopoulos
Kritonas Anastasopoulos graduated from the Superior School of Circus Arts in Brussels in 2010. He is a trainer for trampoline, Tai Chi Chuan, floor acrobatics, teeterboard and partner acrobatics. He has worked with Cirque du Soleil, co-founded the circus company Acrobarouf and has been a member of the acrobatic collective Collective XY since 2018, with whom he tours internationally. With more than a decade of teaching experience, he trains students of all ages in floor acrobatics, dance movement, Tai Chi and acrobatic partner work at circus, dance and theater schools abroad and in workshops worldwide.
Workshop information
- Registration by link, e-mail or telephone is binding.
- The course fee must be paid by invoice, which you will receive from us by e-mail.
- If registration is withdrawn up to 10 days before the workshop, 50% of the course fee will be charged. In the event of later withdrawal, the full costs are to be borne by the participant.
- The right to participate in the booked workshop is personal and non-transferable. Lessons not attended do not entitle the participant to a reduction in course fees, unless the workshop is explicitly advertised as modular.
- Insurance is the responsibility of the participants. An emergency contact must be given when registering.
- If there are not enough participants, the workshop cannot usually take place. The registered participants will be informed by e-mail about a possible cancellation.
- Participants must adhere to the house rules of the Zirkusquartier. The instructions of the ZQ team and the course leaders must be followed.
