With no previous experience, but with curiosity and a desire for movement, this workshop will give you a varied insight into various circus disciplines: from classical acrobatics to dance acrobatics, which combines flowing, dance-like movements with acrobatic elements on the floor. With the vertical scarf you will find an airy challenge for strength, coordination and elegance. We also take our first steps in juggling and playfully discover coordination, dexterity and concentration.

We take time for each discipline, teach you the basics and accompany you as you try them out. The focus is not on performance or perfection, but on the joy of movement, discovery and shared experience. The workshop is aimed at anyone who wants to experience circus directly and physically – regardless of their own fitness level or previous experience.

The workshop has limited places: first come first served!

This workshop is part of the ZirQus 2025 festival. You can find all information about the festival here.

The course not only promotes physical endurance, but also courage and self-confidence. The focus is always on having fun trying out and discovering new things. Luisa and Amine are there to support the children if they need help. No registration necessary, just come along and have fun! The children’s course is suitable for all children aged 5 and over. It is possible to come and go during the workshop.

Trainers

Luisa Schmitz

Luisa Schmitz was born in Zurich and works as a dancer, choreographer, coach and dance teacher. She completed her bachelor’s degree in stage dance and choreography at the Fontys Hoogeschool voor de Kunsten in Tilburg (NL). For the last two years, she has been on the road with the Chnopf circus as an artist and has been teaching circus and movement to children and young people ever since. She teaches children the art of circus in an encouraging and motivating way. When she’s not teaching, she tours Europe with her own clown duo or walks her dog through the forests of Zurich.

Aniko Serfözö

Aniko was born into a family of artists. Her decision to become a circus artist was motivated by her first visit to Circus Conelli in her early childhood. With ambition and discipline, she followed her path through the children’s circus and the art and sports school to the Berlin State Artists’ School. Since graduating in 2009, she has successfully established herself as a multidisciplinary circus artist. In between engagements, she has taught a variety of youngsters and adults in different circus disciplines and can therefore look back on 16 years of teaching experience.
