Discover the fascinating world of partner acrobatics – an adventure for body and mind! This taster course gives you the opportunity to experience the art of partner acrobatics up close. Together with Julian, you will not only learn the basics, but also immerse yourself in flowing movements and surprising postures – such as the impressive shoulder stand.

Whether with a partner or in a group – you will soon realize: Acrobatic figures are not an unattainable dream, but a question of trust, team spirit and the courage to try something new.

This course opens the door to a world of fun, challenge and physical ease – without any previous experience! Experience for yourself how much fun partner acrobatics can be – and find your balance between strength, flexibility and cooperation. Have the courage!

Bring along: Comfortable clothes in which you can move well.

This workshop is part of the ZirQus 2025 festival. You can find all information about the festival here.

Trainers

Luisa Schmitz

Luisa Schmitz was born in Zurich and works as a dancer, choreographer, coach and dance teacher. She completed her bachelor’s degree in stage dance and choreography at the Fontys Hoogeschool voor de Kunsten in Tilburg (NL). For the last two years, she has been on the road with the Chnopf circus as an artist and has been teaching circus and movement to children and young people ever since. She teaches children the art of circus in an encouraging and motivating way. When she’s not teaching, she tours Europe with her own clown duo or walks her dog through the forests of Zurich.

Julian Bläsi

Julian has been a big circus fan since his childhood, when he attended vacation courses at the Scuola Dimitri, and has taught himself many tricks in various disciplines. He did judo as a child, later climbed in an SAC youth section and then ended up breakdancing via capoeira. Julian Bläsi originally trained as a care specialist at the Sydefädeli retirement home and then worked at the Klus Park retirement center for 5 years. As a community service volunteer, he worked in a crèche, among other places. He gained experience with young people in various projects at social institutions and ended up in youth work, where he has worked for the last six years and, among other things, set up a mobile circus program. Over the past six years, he has specialized mainly in partner acrobatics and has taken part in many international training camps and festivals. In the summer, he completes his training as a community animator HF and then works full-time as a circus educator. In recent years, he has already led courses at the Robinson children’s circus, among others
