Composition workshop: musicality and improvisation<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

The workshop will focus on composition on a small scale. In what ways can material be worked on, expanded, changed and given meaning? After a movement block, we will compose movement segments or create short sequences with our respective discipline. You will be given various improvisation tools to use in the sequences. The focus is on musicality. There will be an insight into different techniques on how to work with raw material and ultimately process it into content. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Born in Zurich, Luisa Schmitz works as a dancer, choreographer, coach and circus teacher. She has a Bachelor’s degree in stage dance and choreography from the Fontys Hoogeschool voor de Kunsten’ in Tilburg (NL). After graduating, she choreographed several of her own works and collaborated with various companies in the dance and circus sector. In 2020, Luisa Schmitz founded the company Bill and Fred Productions together with Elysia Mc Mullen. Luisa has also toured with Zurich’s Zirkus Chnopf and teaches circus and movement to children and teenagers at the Zirkusquartier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
