Accademia Dimitri

The Accademia Dimitri offers a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and a Master of Arts in Theatre with 3 specializations: Physical Theatre, Teatro di Figura, Applied Theatre. The teaching approach combines proven teaching practice in theater, movement and circus techniques with innovative training devising and performance processes. The training in Physical Theatre is unique in this form in Europe and the Accademia enjoys international recognition as a training institution thanks to the diversity and quality of its courses.

Philipp Boë

After training at Europe’s leading schools for circus and movement theater, Philipp Boë specialized in interdisciplinary stage productions, first as a performer and then as a director.
In his quest for innovative creation, he combines various forms of expression (artistry, dance, puppetry, physical theatre, etc.) to create performances that are characterized by a strong visual language and physical play.
His solo piece “Mémoire de la nuit”, a pioneering work in the “nouvelle magie” genre, toured halfway around the world and won several awards. As a director, he has staged around 25 stage and outdoor productions since 1998, e.g. the Tinguely-inspired artistic spectacle Cyclope, the forest summer fairy tale PuuPääT and Universus, the festival play for the Badenfahrt 2017.
In 2018, he founded the company Raum 305 with Moritz Haase and Jarnoth, which sets new standards in the combination of artistry and puppetry.
