Zirkuszwergli (2.5-4 years)

Together we want to play, explore the fairytale world of the circus, let off steam and transform ourselves into animals, learn tricks and above all: have lots of fun! You’ll need comfortable clothes that you can move around in and a bottle of water. You should also have your mom and/or dad with you, as they will be taking part. They may simply accompany you during the lessons or lend a hand to the course leader if help is needed at a course post.

Clothing: Comfortable sportswear. Gym shoes or barefoot. In the winter months we recommend long training clothes for before and after the course. Children with long hair should have a hair tie with them.

Naomi Meyer

Naomi is a movement enthusiast for life and loves to share this passion as a trainer. She has always been fascinated by the diversity of the human body. After graduating from high school, she began studying sports science at the University of Basel and later became a professional circus performer. Before Naomi dedicated herself fully to her circus training, she performed in the Christmas variety show Mugg and toured with Circus Chnopf in 2019. After a year of intensive circus training in Portugal, Naomi continued her training at the renowned circus school “École Nationale de Cirque” in Montréal.
Naomi loves lifelong learning. In addition to her work as a trainer, she is currently training part-time as a physiotherapist.

Sophia Bühler

Sophia discovered her passion for the circus as a child. To this day, circus is her great hobby and is associated with a great deal of joy and passion. She attended many different circus training courses, completed theater pedagogy training in Zurich and a year of circus pedagogy training in Fribourg. In 2022, she decided to get a taste of circus for a year at “Cirque Intense”. There she specialized in the trapeze and swung through the air.
In addition to her own projects with children and young people, she is now an enthusiastic circus trainer.

General information

• Course information: The course takes place once a week (except during school vacations and public holidays) and lasts 45 minutes.
• Start of the course: August 21 (from the end of the 2024 school summer vacation)
• Course duration: 20 lessons until February 5 (until the start of the 2025 sports vacations)
• Course-free dates Wednesday: 4.9. (Festival week at the Zirkusquartier) / 9.10. & 16.10. (fall vacation) / 25.12. & 1.1.25 (Christmas vacation)
• Entry: It is always possible to join the course during the current session if there is free space. Just book online.
• First time bookings: The first From the booking date, the first lesson is always a trial lesson and costs CHF 20. Then you can make a decision about continuation. Registration or de-registration for the whole session must be confirmed by email within three days of the trial lesson. (kontakt@zirkusquartier.ch) After that, the course is booked.
• Trial lesson: See new visitors section.
• Individual lessons cannot be booked, only the whole session from the start date. The invoice will be adjusted accordingly.
• Discounts: LEGI & KULTURLEGI. For children’s courses, we also accept LEGI and KULTURLEGI from parents. We give a 5 franc discount per lesson on the second course booked.
• Course confirmations will be sent on request.
• Zirkusquartier is a member of Versa, the association for the prevention of sexual exploitation of children in sport.
