In the Intermediate floor acrobatics course you will learn and deepen various acrobatic elements depending on your personal level.
The course content includes the following points:
- Try out different ways of warming up, stretching/stretching
- Flick flack, rollover, free wheel, head tilt, etc.
- Learning a repertoire of dance acrobatic elements and how to use them playfully
- Get to know the basic handstand technique with different ascents and positions
- Learning to use your own body as sparingly and organically as possible
Prerequisite: You should have experience in floor acrobatics and have a good command of the basics. The floor acro basics course on Tuesday at 17:30 and Wednesday at 19:15 is suitable for beginners.
Clothing: Comfortable sportswear. In the winter months we recommend long training clothes for before and after the course.
Ulla Tikka
After graduating from high school in Finland, Ulla Tikka trained as a tightrope walker in Paris and Berlin (graduating in 2000). She has performed worldwide with various contemporary circus companies (including Cirkus Cirkör and Les Colporteurs) and then increasingly satisfied her artistic urge with her own productions. She is currently on the road with her Cie Roikkuva and several productions. Parallel to her stage work, she also works as a teacher of acrobatics and tightrope walking. In recent years, she has also repeatedly taken on challenges as a choreographer and director (e.g. Circus Chnopf, Circus Monti, Fahraway).
Naomi Meyer
Naomi is a movement enthusiast for life and loves to share this passion as a trainer. She has always been fascinated by the diversity of the human body. After graduating from high school, she began studying sports science at the University of Basel and later developed into a professional circus artist. Before Naomi dedicated herself fully to her circus training, she performed in the Christmas variety show Mugg and toured with Circus Chnopf in 2019. After a year of intensive circus training in Portugal, Naomi continued her training at the renowned circus school “École Nationale de Cirque” in Montréal.
Naomi loves lifelong learning. In addition to her work as a trainer, she is currently training part-time as a physiotherapist.

Course information
- The course takes place once a week (except during school vacations and public holidays)
- Course duration: 90 minutes
- Start: August 19, 25 (from the end of the 2025 school summer vacation)
- End: February 3, 26 (until the start of the 2026 school sports vacations), 20 lessons in total
Trial lessons:
- Please book online.
- The first lesson from the date of booking is always a trial lesson and costs CHF 20.
- A final decision on the booking can then be made: The registration or deregistration for the entire course session must reach us by e-mail (kontakt@zirkusquartier.ch) three days after the trial lesson.
- If you book and confirm the appointment, the trial lesson will be charged even if you do not attend.

- We offer a 5 franc discount per lesson on the second course booked.
Access:
- It is always possible to join the course during the current session if capacity is available.
- Simply book online, the first lesson is a trial lesson.
- You will only be charged from the definitive start date after the trial lesson.
Individual lessons
- Individual lessons cannot be booked.
- However, it is possible to join at any time during the session if capacity is available. See above.
