Aerial silks for children – basics (from 7 years)

We warm up together and, in addition to playful elements, emphasis is placed on the clean execution of acrobatic basics. This is followed by exercises to build up strength and flexibility, and we practise simple acrobatic figures. We learn the correct and safe technique of climbing on the vertical scarf, as well as simple forms and drops. The focus is on the joy of movement.

Clothing: To prevent friction burns, we recommend tight-fitting, comfortable training clothing (bodysuit and leggings). In the winter months we recommend long training clothes for before and after the course. Children with long hair should have a hair tie with them.

Eva Baggenstos

Eva Baggenstos from Zurich discovered her passion for aerial acrobatics in 2010. Since then, she has attended various intensive courses, circus festivals and workshops at home and abroad in order to continuously develop her skills.
She has performed in various theater productions (e.g. Stein! Spektakel, Baden; Deep Emotions Happiness, Bern) and street festivals (e.g. Gauklerfestival Adelboden, Badenfahrt 2017) and showed her performances at various other events (corporate events, parties, trade fairs).
Eine besondere Freude ist es Eva, ihr Wissen und Können an andere weiterzugeben. She has been teaching beginners and advanced aerial ring and vertical dance since 2012.

General information

• Course information: The course takes place once a week (except during school vacations and public holidays) and lasts 60 minutes.
• Start of the course: August 21 (from the end of the 2024 school summer vacation)
• Course duration: 20 lessons until February 5 (until the start of the 2025 sports vacations)
• Course-free dates Wednesday: 4.9. (Festival week at the Zirkusquartier) / 9.10. & 16.10. (fall vacation) / 25.12. & 1.1.25 (Christmas vacation)
• Entry: It is always possible to join the course during the current session if there is free space. Just book online.
• First time bookings: The first one From the booking date, the first lesson is always a trial lesson and costs CHF 20. Then you can make a decision about continuation. Registration or de-registration for the whole session must be confirmed by email within three days of the trial lesson. (kontakt@zirkusquartier.ch) After that, the course is booked.
• Trial lesson: See new visitors section.
• Individual lessons cannot be booked, only the whole session from the start date. The invoice will be adjusted accordingly.
• Discounts: LEGI & KULTURLEGI. For children’s courses, we also accept LEGI and KULTURLEGI from parents. We give a 5 franc discount per lesson on the second course booked.
